Indie Games Awards Aftermath

After attending the awarding ceremony of the First Indy Game Competition last friday at the temple Bar in Makati, we finally got our rigs!!! Presenting, my new computer rig which I shall name "Barricade"!

Tech Specs:
MAG 17" LCD Monitor
Intel Core duo quad CPU 2.4 GHz
Intel DP35DP Motherboard
2 GB of RAM
ASUS EN8600GT/NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512MB DDR3

I had to buy a usb mouse and keyboard because there's no ps2 slot. Pfft! XP

Again I would like to thank GDAP, Intel, and all the other sponsors who made this possible. I would also like to thank my two team mates, Naz(Carlos Nazareno) and John(JP Tianco). Ang galing nyo mga bords! XD

If you guys are curious as to what happened during the awarding, you can read it via Inquirer.net. Or you can just watch the video below para makita nyo kung gaano kami kasabog nun! XD

The game will be available for download/online play via Yehey. I'll keep you guys posted if ever it's available.

And now to test my new pc's specs! any good games you can recommend? :D

Comments

While it is a quad core system (actually it's using the same processor I have now) and will blow other PCs out of the water in terms of multi-tasking and video encoding, it's not that strong a gaming platform. The 8600 GT is pretty much a middle class video card - it's much powerful than onboard video but at the same time it's much less powerful than a "gaming" video card like the 8800 GT.

Regardless, the video card should be enough to play the latest games in medium settings. 2007 was a good year for games so I suggest picking up the best games: BioShock, Call of Duty 4, and Portal. If FPSs are not your cup of tea, you could get RTSs like World in Conflict and Company of Heroes.
w00t! thanks sa gaming advice! XD susubukan ko bioshock since mejo marami akong kilalang nagrarave tungkol dun.
congrats! talentado ka!
ahehe salamat! :D
